MANIFESTO

(a wip!)

I. VIRTUAL IDENTITIES

the VIRTUAL self and the ORGANIC self have become one and the same. Corporations annihilated the possibility of creating our very own paradise on the Internet - and on the Computer itself. We do not want to buy your products. We are not interested in your brand-new AI functions. We are not interested in participating in current trends for the sake of being noticed by strangers. We are not interested in personalized algorithms. We are not interested in showing our faces and revealing our real names. We want our DATA back. We want our PRIVACY back. We want our CREATIVITY back. We want our FREEDOM back. We have become CYBORGS and we're here to reclaim our identity and take advantage of our condition to escape the binary and societal expectations over both our organic and virtual bodies.

II. ART AS A NEW REALITY

ART is our trustworthy gate to liberation of the self. We create art with pixels, HEX codes, lines, polygons, words and textures. Through technology, art made by human hands and minds can live in its purest form. We turn away from AI-generated images that are cheap, corporate, damaging illusions on the possibilities of human creation and intelligence. We value KNOWLEDGE, MISTAKES, and SLOWNESS over IGNORANCE, PERFECTION and OPTIMIZATION.

III. ON GENDER AND PERFORMANCE

GENDER EXPRESSION has extended itself to the vast realms of the Web hand-in-hand with Art and everything related to it: DESIGN, VIDEOGAMES, PROGRAMMING and CODING. Gender roles have infiltrated and spread through our non-binary space of the digital web and virtual worlds. We reject any conventions to gender and any encapsulated notions as to what makes us MASCULINE or FEMININE or BOTH or NEITHER. We have the ability to code ourselves from ZERO and re-invent ourselves beyond the physical limitations of the flesh.
